| The Nessus Organization, which produces the award-winning Nessus Security Scanner, a free and open-source vulnerability assessment tool, will release a special configuration file which enables its users to check their networks for the Top 20. By October 2nd, Nessus will test for all the most critical vulnerabilities, and work is underway to extend the coverage of its anaylsis to all other remote vulnerabilities covered by the Top Twenty. In addition, Nessus will release a special configuration file which will allow users to target only the plugins which test for the vulnerabvilties listed in the Top 20. |
